Your assignment will span August 2026 to June 2027, covering 20-25 hours over three days each week. Your schedule will be determined prior to the start of the school year. As the sole physical therapist serving the district, you will be an essential resource for students requiring assessments, therapy, and progress monitoring throughout multiple school sites.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist license in the state required by the assignment start date
- Proven experience working with children, ideally within K-12 settings
- Understanding of school-based therapy and IEP process
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and travel between school sites as needed
- Commitment to being present for the entire academic year
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy evaluations and interventions to support student access and participation in educational settings
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and track student progress
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate with educators and families
- Support staff with training and strategies to incorporate motor skills into students’ daily routines
