Our organization is in search of skilled Anesthesiologists for a locum tenens position in Virginia. This role within a high-acuity hospital provides flexible scheduling, a supervision model, and a diverse array of adult and pediatric cases.

Job Details:

  • Support Staff: Medical direction model with two CRNAs assigned per anesthesiologist

  • Clinical Responsibilities: General anesthesia, Cardiac Cath Lab (required), Spinal, Epidural, Regional, Complex Vascular (excluding open hearts), Ventilation management, Central/Arterial line placement

  • Patient Care Model: Care Team Model - medically directing two CRNAs

  • Current Staff: Two MDs and two CRNAs (operating rooms at 80% efficiency)

  • Experience Requirements: Must be proficient with a full case mix; MDs are expected to perform spinal or epidural placements

  • EMR: EPIC

  • Dates: January 1 - May 31, 2026
