Reporting Controller

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Reporting Controller in Newton Center, MA. Summary: Our client is a growing real estate investment and management company with a reputation for being a terrific work environment. We are seeking a corporate Controller to work closely with a VP finance and CFO in a small accounting management team handling consolidation and monthly financial reporting and liaison with external accounting firm on audit and tax related matters. This position is an "add to staff" due to growth. Key Responsibilities: Partner with CFO and VP Finance working in small team on consolidation and reporting of financial information from multiple entities Perform variance and trend analysis to identify risks and opportunities Drive process improvements, reporting automation, and data optimization initiatives Liaison with outside audit firms who handle the tax reporting and external audits Monitor capital expenditures and support strategic investment decisions Provide ad hoc analysis and executive-level financial reporting Requirements: BA/BS degree in Accounting preferred CPA license and public/private accounting background preferred but not required Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a financial services type industry, preference for a real estate investment organization or a residential/commercial real estate setting or related industry, with strong G/L skills and understanding of tax and partnership tax returns Experience preparing audited financial statements Solid computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel required The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
