Millwork Project Manager - Plainview, NY will oversee custom millwork projects from preconstruction through installation, ensuring schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations are met at every stage. The Millwork Project Manager will coordinate with clients, architects, vendors, and field teams to successfully deliver high-end woodworking and architectural millwork projects on time and within budget. Description Millwork Project Manager - Plainview, NY Manage custom millwork and fixture projects from award through final installation and closeout. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, designers, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved. Review architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and project requirements for accuracy and constructability. Coordinate engineering, drafting, production, procurement, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution. Monitor project budgets, track costs, manage change orders, and maintain profitability targets. Procure materials and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and fabrication partners to support project schedules. Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to clients and executive leadership. Identify and resolve project risks, design conflicts, production issues, and field installation challenges. Ensure all work complies with quality standards, client expectations, and contractual requirements. Coordinate site visits, field measurements, and installation activities as needed. Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and closeout packages. Foster strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional project delivery. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Profile Millwork Project Manager - Plainview, NY Local or commutable to Plainview, NY and New York City 5+ years of project management experience within architectural millwork, custom casework, high-end woodworking, retail fixtures, commercial interiors, or specialty fabrication environments. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strict control over budgets, schedules, quality, and client expectations. Strong understanding of millwork fabrication processes, shop drawings, materials, woodworking techniques, and installation procedures.Experience collaborating with architects, designers, general contractors, vendors, fabricators, and field installation teams. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to proactively identify challenges and implement effective solutions. Strong financial acumen, including experience managing project budgets, forecasting costs, tracking change orders, and maintaining project profitability. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift and multiple deadlines must be met. Proficient with project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and reviewing construction documents and shop drawings.
