Qualifications:
- Must hold active Georgia Special Education Teacher certification
- Previous experience working with high school students preferred
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a high school caseload, providing specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs
- Develop, review, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Utilize data-driven decision making to adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies
- Maintain accurate student records and progress reports
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth
- Comply with all relevant district, state, and federal special education guidelines
This role is scheduled to start August 3, 2026, and conclude May 27, 2027, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
