Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential for Moderate/Severe (ESN) populations (mild/mod not accepted)
  • Experience or strong interest in supporting students with moderate to severe needs in a high school setting
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and respectful classroom culture
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique learning needs
  • Adapt curriculum, instruction, and assessments to ensure student growth and engagement
  • Collaborate closely with paraeducators, related service providers, and families to maximize student achievement
  • Provide a structured, safe, and nurturing learning environment
  • Track and report progress, participate in IEP meetings, and contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach
  • Foster life skills and social-emotional development to support student independence

This contract position runs from August 6 through June 3 and follows a Monday through Friday schedule, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You’ll have the chance to create lasting impact in the lives of students and work alongside dedicated education professionals, all within a supportive school community.
