Special Education Teacher in Mesquite, TX

You’ll focus your expertise at one elementary school, helping shape the success stories of young students in life skills, autism, or behavior classrooms.

Key qualifications and requirements:

• Accredited bachelor’s degree
• Valid Texas Special Education (EC-12) certification
• Recent fingerprint clearance through the TEA for Texas public schools (must be completed before the start date if not already current)
• Experience or genuine interest in working with life skills, autism, or behavior-focused classrooms preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Your responsibilities in this role will include:

• Delivering differentiated instruction in small group or individualized settings, tailored to IEP goals
• Developing adaptive learning plans and collaborating with staff and families
• Maintaining accurate progress documentation and compliance records
• Participating in IEP meetings, providing insights for student planning and review
