Shift: 12hr Night Shift - 36 Shift Information: 1830-0700 Clinical Interviewing- Yes - Manager to conduct final interview On Call, Call Back Requirements: None Weekend Rotation: EOW Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays Floating Requirements: Will work routinely between PA and PHO and other units in Brenner except Peds ED.

Unit Information:
- Beds: 16 on PHO and 16 on PA
- Average 14-32 patients per day
- PA: 1 year in pediatric acute care
- Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes, with a strong pediatric background
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
- Leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell crisis, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, behavioral health overlay, general adolescent medicine
Patient Ratios:
- RN:
- Peds Hem/Oncology - 1: 3-4
- Peds Adolescent Medicine 1:4-5
- CNA: 1:6-16
- PA: BLS, PALS preferred
- PHO: BLS, PALS preferred, APHON required chemo certification required
- Central line management, chemo administration, strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking.
- CNA: vital signs, ADL, safety rounding, I&Os
- Receptionist/HUC
- Charge nurse
- Phlebotomy
- IV/VAT Team - for difficult peripheral access
- Resource Nurse: availability varies
- RT, 24/7
- Hospitalist, 24/7
- Intensivist, 24/7
- Bedside telemetry monitoring, no Tele tech is available.
- EMR: Epic
- IV Pump: Alaris
- Med dispensing: Omnicell
- Monitors:
- Unit specific equipment:

- Scrub Color: Royal blue, can wear pediatric appropriate scrub top
