Our Organization is Looking for a Gynecologic Surgeon - Specialist in Vaginal Surgery in Morristown, NJ
We are a prominent nonprofit healthcare system in New Jersey, currently in search of a full-time, highly qualified Gynecologic Surgeon with proven skills in vaginal surgical methods to become part of our team. This position emphasizes the surgical and clinical management of benign gynecological issues, particularly through vaginal techniques. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to achieving excellent patient outcomes, fostering surgical innovation, educating OB/GYN residents, and promoting collaborative care. All surgical procedures will take place at our Morristown Medical Center.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct a significant number of vaginal surgical procedures, such as vaginal hysterectomies, pelvic organ prolapse repairs, and native tissue repairs.
Assess and manage patients with gynecological conditions that necessitate surgical intervention, including prolapse, incontinence (in partnership with subspecialists), abnormal uterine bleeding, and benign pelvic masses.
Deliver thorough preoperative and postoperative care.
Perform and interpret diagnostic assessments, including pelvic examinations, imaging studies, and office-based procedures.
Employ minimally invasive techniques when suitable, prioritizing vaginal methods over abdominal or laparoscopic approaches when clinically appropriate.
Work alongside urogynecology, urology, colorectal surgery, and primary care teams to ensure coordinated multidisciplinary care.
Instruct OB/GYN residents and medical students on surgical options, associated risks, benefits, and anticipated outcomes.
Engage in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based guidelines.
Contribute to the education and mentorship of residents, fellows, or advanced practice providers (if in an academic environment).
Participate in outpatient obstetric clinics as part of the care and educational framework.
Work Environment:
A blend of outpatient clinic responsibilities and operating room duties.
Access to state-of-the-art surgical facilities and support personnel.
Daytime outpatient clinic coverage in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Daytime consultations for gynecologic patients in the Medical Floor/ER and Clinic.
Salary Range: $300,000-$325,000 base salary only; does not include any quality or productivity incentives.

Qualifications:
Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Proven proficiency in vaginal surgical techniques (case logs will be required).
Preferred: Advanced expertise in complex vaginal and reconstructive procedures.
Preferred: Experience in teaching or academic medicine.
Preferred: Interest in clinical research or improving surgical outcomes.
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey.
