Make a meaningful impact by supporting students in a self-contained classroom setting as a Special Education Teacher. This contract opportunity, located near Glendale, AZ, begins as soon as possible and extends through May 21, 2026. You’ll play a crucial role in helping students reach their fullest potential within a dedicated learning environment. With a weekly commitment of five days and eight hours each day, you will have the chance to provide consistent, high-quality support and instruction to a caseload of 10-20 students.

Your background in special education will enable you to design and implement tailored learning strategies, foster student growth, and ensure every learner receives the attention and care they deserve. Two positions are currently open, providing a valuable chance to collaborate with passionate colleagues.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid state certification in Special Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
  • Experience teaching in a self-contained classroom preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt instructional methods to diverse learning needs
  • Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom climate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver personalized instruction for students with varying abilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with support staff and parents to address individual student needs
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
  • Track and assess student progress, modifying strategies as necessary
