Special Education Teacher in Glendale, AZ

Key qualifications & experience:

• Valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience teaching in a special education or resource classroom environment
• Strong knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs
• Skilled at adapting instruction and classroom materials to meet varied learning needs
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and academic interventions in a resource classroom
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress towards goals
• Modify curriculum and use a variety of instructional strategies to address unique learner profiles
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and safe classroom environment
• Partner with general education teachers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive support
