Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for K-8th grade
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary or middle school setting
- Familiarity with creating and implementing IEPs and differentiated instructional plans
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, though not required
- A proactive, creative, and compassionate approach to education
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction in either an instructional or resource classroom setting for K-8th grade students
- Develop and implement IEPs according to state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success and inclusion
- Track and document student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed
- Serve as an advocate for students, keeping families informed and engaged in their child’s education
