Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education certification required
• Credits in Math essential, or certification as a Teacher of the Handicapped with Math credits
• Experience designing differentiated lesson plans tailored to various learning levels
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Previous experience as a SPED Math Teacher is highly desirable

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging math instruction to students with special needs in accordance with IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum to meet the unique learning needs of individual students
• Track and report student progress, maintaining precise records
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student confidence and growth
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights for effective student planning
• Engage with families and guardians to keep them informed and engaged in the educational process
