Special Education Teacher in Chestertown, MD

What We're Looking For:

• Certified or eligible for certification as a Special Education Teacher.
• Experience with self-contained, inclusion, or behavioral support programs preferred.
• Strong ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Skilled in differentiated instruction and classroom management.
• Adaptable, collaborative, and passionate about helping every student succeed.
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group instruction tailored to students’ learning needs.
• Design and implement effective IEPs, tracking progress and making adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and support staff to foster inclusive learning environments.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage and support students with diverse abilities.
• Maintain organized records and document student progress to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents or guardians regarding student development.
