Description The Estimator will: Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, equipment, and time requirements Prepare project estimates by reviewing proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents Resolve discrepancies through detailed cost analysis and information gathering Present completed estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and market trends Perform conceptual, schematic, design development, and hard bid estimates Review plans and specifications for consistency, accuracy, and completeness Manage all levels of quantity takeoffs while applying appropriate unit pricing Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals Identify value engineering opportunities and project cost savings Collaborate with project managers and preconstruction personnel to successfully pursue projects Develop into a leadership role within the estimating and preconstruction department Profile The Estimator should have: 5+ years of estimating experience, preferably with a Commercial General Contractor Experience bidding commercial construction projects valued at $5 million or greater Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred OSHA certification preferred Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost estimating principles Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously Job Offer The Estimator will receive: Generous base salary Annual bonus opportunity Excellent benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid Time Off and company holidays 401(k) with company match Life and disability insurance Professional development and training opportunities Opportunity to advance into senior estimating and preconstruction leadership roles Stable project backlog with a growing organization Collaborative and employee-focused company culture MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
