IT Systems Analyst- Temp

City of Black Hawk, CO | Temporary Assignment | Immediate Opening

Pay: $51.00 - $71.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Full-Time | Day Shift
Location: Black Hawk, CO
Duration: Approximately 3 Months
Start Date: ASAP

The City of Black Hawk is seeking an experienced IT Systems Analyst for a temporary assignment expected to last approximately three months. This role combines systems analysis, software application support, network administration, project management, and end-user technical support. The selected candidate will also serve as a backup resource for the Information Technology Manager and play a key role in supporting the City's technology infrastructure.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Analyze, design, develop, and support software applications and business systems.

  • Evaluate user needs and recommend technology solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Research, test, and evaluate software, hardware, and technology products.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software, application, hardware, and system-related issues.

  • Provide technical support to end users via phone, email, remote access, and onsite assistance.

  • Develop and deliver employee training for new and existing software applications and technology deployments.

  • Manage technology projects, including documentation, task assignments, and progress reporting.

  • Assist with database design, development, maintenance, backup, recovery, and monitoring.

  • Support network infrastructure, including switches, routers, connectivity, and network monitoring.

  • Maintain and support cybersecurity tools, including firewalls, antivirus software, spam filtering, content filtering, and intrusion prevention systems.

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software.

  • Support and administer VoIP, digital, and analog telephone systems.

  • Provide Help Desk support and technical assistance to City employees.

  • Assist with budgeting, technology planning, equipment replacement strategies, purchasing, and vendor evaluations.

  • Maintain user accounts, permissions, and system security.

  • Serve as a representative in meetings with staff, vendors, contractors, and outside agencies.

  • Assist the Information Technology Manager with daily technology operations as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience with systems analysis, software support, application development, and technical troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking technologies, and server environments.

  • Experience with database administration, backup, and recovery processes.

  • Understanding of network infrastructure, switches, routers, and firewall management.

  • Experience supporting VoIP telephone systems preferred.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

Pay Details: $51.00 to $71.00 per hour
