Your Future Role Overview

Location: Austin, TX | Round Rock, TX

Facility: Our Medical Center in Austin, Dell Children’s Medical Center | Our Williamson Facility

Schedule: Part-time

Base Salary: Hourly rate of $150-200/hr

Includes malpractice coverage with tail
Annual CME allowance of $3500, plus 2.5 CME days | Part-time

Your Impact in This Role

This is a unique chance to move away from the administrative burdens of traditional private practice and focus solely on clinical excellence, patient safety, and the development of a new flagship program.

  • Help establish the foundational culture of this new flagship program, actively participating in the workflows and growth of our inaugural OB hospitalist service line.

  • Promote patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring continuous, round-the-clock care, allowing every patient to experience a safe and supportive birth journey.

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions for complex and high-acuity cases across our regional facilities.

  • Enjoy exceptional flexibility with options for full-time, part-time, or PRN schedules, including adaptable 12-hour or 24-hour shifts to enhance your work-life balance.

About the Practice

  • Practice Setting: Inpatient only.

  • Employed physician within a nonprofit Catholic health system.

  • Choice of three initial sites with varying acuity levels: high, medium, and low.

  • Part-time commitment of 60 hours per month.

  • NICU staffed by Dell Children’s Neonatologists.

  • Serving the Austin population of approximately 1.02 million and Round Rock's 142,000 residents.

Additional Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by ABOG.

  • Current Texas medical license (or eligibility) and DEA registration by the start date.

  • Prior experience as an OB hospitalist or in high-acuity obstetrics is preferred but not mandatory.

Minimum Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed by the Texas Medical Board, obtained prior to the hire date or job transfer date is required.

Education

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) is required.
