Special Education Teacher | Half Moon Bay, California

Make a meaningful impact in education by supporting students in PreK through 5th grade as a Special Education Teacher. Multiple positions are available for dedicated professionals seeking a contract opportunity during the 2026-2027 school year. This role starts in August 2026 and runs through May 2027, providing a consistent, full-time schedule of 40 hours across five days each week. You'll be part of a committed team working to foster academic and social growth for students with diverse abilities.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching credential in Special Education (Mild/Moderate license required)
• Mod/Severe and Autism authorization or license preferred
• Experience working with PreK-5th grade students in a school-based setting
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to a range of learning needs
• Develop and maintain IEPs, track progress, and collaborate with other educators and families
• Employ a variety of instructional strategies to ensure every student’s success
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment focused on students’ growth and independence
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-based initiatives
