Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and valid certification/licensure to work with the student caseload, in accordance with Pennsylvania regulations
• Bachelor’s degree; eligibility to receive an emergency teaching permit
• Proven experience in special education roles within a school setting
• Strong classroom and behavioral management skills, particularly in urban schools
• Proficiency in developing and implementing curriculum-aligned lesson plans, assessments, and differentiated instruction
• Comfortable with both district policies and location expectations
• Flexible between the following full-time schedules:
  • Elementary: 8:30AM–4PM
  • Middle: 8:30AM–4PM or 8AM–3:15PM (TBD)
  • High school: 7:15AM–2:45PM
• Able to complete all required PA clearances
• Reliable transportation is essential

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned to state and district standards
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs through formative assessment and differentiation
• Foster a safe, supportive, and creative classroom environment
• Effectively manage classroom behavior and build positive relationships
• Collaborate with school teams, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain accurate documentation
