Project Accountant

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Accountant in Gainesville, VA. Duties: Project Accountant will conduct physical inventory counts at multiple branch locations Verify inventory quantities and reconcile discrepancies Assist with inventory analysis and reporting Document findings and communicate results to management Partner with branch personnel and operations teams during count procedures Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation Ensure adherence to inventory control procedures and company policies As a Project Accountant, you will assist with inventory-related accounting adjustments and reconciliations as needed Identify process improvement opportunities related to inventory management Travel to branch locations throughout the duration of the project Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 3+ years of accounting, audit, inventory accounting, cost accounting, or related experience Manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or multi-location business experience Experience working with ERP systems Inventory control or cost accounting background Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assignment The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
