Solforce Solutions has immediate openings for Iowa Journeymen Electricians for a Data Center in the Cedar Rapids area!

Pay: $57/hr with active Iowa Journeyman license; $45/hr until Iowa reciprocation is approved
\n Shift/Schedule: Typically 12-hour days Monday–Friday with an 8-hour day on Saturday; no Sundays
\n Per Diem: $178 paid 7 days a week if all scheduled shifts are worked Responsibilities

\n
• Perform installations, startups, troubleshooting, commissioning, and preventative maintenance for electrical systems in accordance with project drawings and applicable codes.
\n
• Execute First Time Energization (FTE), switching, AutoLOTO, load bank connections and removals, and Level 3–5 commissioning support activities.
\n
• Read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, schematics, and installation plans; lay out conduit, cable tray, and devices to spec.
\n
• Follow approved Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and all company safety protocols; maintain accurate work records and service documentation throughout the project.
\n
• Support and mentor apprentices on site; coordinate effectively with Foremen, Superintendents, project management teams, and clients.
\n
• Diagnose electrical issues, respond to service calls, recommend system improvements, complete acceptance testing, and participate in post-project reviews.
\n
• Familiarity with data center systems, transfer schemes, switchgear, controllers, and pneumatic/electrical process controls.
\n
• Profiecient reading blueprints and electrcal schematics
\n
• Skilled with conduit bending, cable tray layouts, revice trim, and load bank operations.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Active Iowa Journeyman Electrician license required, or reciprocal licensing from AK, AR, CO, MN, MT, NE, NH, ND, OK, SD, TX, WI, or WY — candidates must be reciprocated or eligible to reciprocate prior to starting; those within 3 months of eligibility may be considered at $45/hr and must apply for reciprocation immediately upon eligibility.

• Able to pass a 10-panel pre-employment drug screen, 7-year background check, and hold or obtain OSHA 10 certification.
