Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Tax Manager in Dover, DE. Summary: We are seeking an experienced Project Tax Manager to lead corporate tax compliance, planning, and entity wind-down engagements. This role will oversee federal, state, and local tax matters for C-Corporations while advising on liquidations, dissolutions, restructurings, acquisitions, and business exits. Key Responsibilities: Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance for C-Corporations, including Form 1120 and related filings Develop tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions while ensuring compliance Lead corporate dissolution, liquidation, wind-down, and legal entity termination projects Prepare and review final tax filings related to business closures and entity terminations Advise on the tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, divestitures, and business exits Coordinate multi-state tax compliance for dissolved or terminated entities Research and interpret tax regulations and communicate findings to stakeholders Manage audits, tax notices, and inquiries from taxing authorities Partner with legal, finance, and accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys combining technical tax expertise with strategic advisory work while leading complex corporate tax and entity wind-down projects. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field CPA required; MST preferred 7+ years of corporate tax experience in public accounting, consulting, or corporate environments Strong knowledge of C-Corporation tax compliance and planning Experience with entity dissolutions, liquidations, and corporate restructuring projects Multi-state tax experience preferred Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills Preferred Experience: M&A, restructuring, and transaction tax experience Exposure to complex, multi-entity organizations Leadership and project management experience The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
