Position: Travel ED Charge Nurse
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Department: Emergency Services
Available Shifts: Day and Night
Compensation: Up to $1,491 – $2,067 gross pay weekly; equivalent to $41.44 – $57.43 per hour.
Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

- Supervise ED operations and nursing personnel during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and adherence to regulations.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments effectively.
- Guide, mentor, and support the development of nursing staff.
- Assist with performance evaluations and HR-related tasks.
- Monitor supplies, equipment, and overall unit readiness; coordinate patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Address patient care issues and escalate concerns as necessary.
- Engage with patients and families to foster a positive experience.
- Provide direct patient care as needed to ensure adequate staffing levels.
Education, Experience, and Training:
- Valid RN License in the state.
- Current BLS certification (AHA) upon hire and maintain throughout employment.
- Current ACLS certification (AHA) upon hire and maintain throughout employment.
- At least one year of experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital, specifically in the Emergency Department.
- PALS certification (AHA) upon hire and maintain throughout employment.
- Previous supervisory experience is required.
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, specifically in the Emergency Department.
