Position: Travel Med Surg Charge Nurse

Location: Lewiston, Maine

Department: Medical Surgical

Available Shifts: Day and Night

Compensation: Up to $1,451 – $1,982 gross pay weekly; equivalent to $40.32 – $55.06 per hour.

Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director in managing daily operations, staffing, and workflow within the department.
  • Supervise, guide, and assess team members.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of personnel, equipment, and resources.
  • Maintain high standards of department operations and patient care.
  • Provide direct patient care as required within your scope of practice.
  • Monitor and adjust patient care plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Foster a safe, high-quality, and patient-focused care environment.
  • Oversee staff performance and unit operations during your assigned shift.
Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:

  1. Valid and current state RN License
  2. Current BLS certification (AHA) upon hire and must remain current
  3. Current ACLS certification (AHA) upon hire and must remain current
  4. Minimum of one year of charge nurse experience in a Med Surg environment is required
  5. PALS certification (AHA) upon hire and must remain current
