Job duties: Patient roomingTriaging patients needsScribing within EMRRemoving sutures and castsApplying/fitting for casts/DMEPrepping rooms for patientsPrepping for injections (administering injections optional)Submitting referral and pharmacy ordersObtaining prior authorizationsReplying to patient voicemails, emails, and answering medical related patient callsOther MA duties as neededAbility to work as a team Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology or ability to quickly learn.Warm and friendly personality/willing to assist patientsStrong communication skills with ability to diffuse unhappy patientsComputer proficiency and typingAbility to complete above stated job duties, or willingness to quickly learn Team Culture - Ability to work well with others, communicate needs and respond quickly and appropriately to both patient and colleague questions and needs.
