Special Education Teacher in Arlington, AZ

Bring your expertise in special education to a rewarding teaching opportunity in a K-8 classroom supporting students with multiple disabilities. In this role, you'll make a meaningful impact each day and collaborate with a dedicated team of support staff, including five paraprofessionals and an on-site Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field is required
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in K-8 settings
• Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and the ability to adapt curriculum to diverse student needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative spirit
• Current relevant state teaching certification

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to each student’s abilities and learning styles
• Collaborate closely with support staff, paraprofessionals, and the on-site LPN to ensure holistic student care
• Regularly monitor, assess, and document student progress
• Communicate effectively with families, school personnel, and related service providers
• Support a positive classroom culture that cultivates student growth, independence, and confidence

Enjoy a balanced work schedule with hours from 6:30 am – 3:30 pm Tuesday through Friday, and one extended Thursday until 4:30 pm, allowing for long weekends and flexibility.
