Position: Travel ICU Charge Nurse

Location: Lewiston, Maine

Department: Intensive Care Unit

Available Shifts: Day and Night

Compensation: Up to $1,491 – $2,067 gross pay weekly; equivalent to $41.44 – $57.43 per hour.

Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise ICU operations and nursing personnel during assigned shifts.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments effectively.
  • Guide, mentor, and support the development of nursing staff.
  • Assist with performance management and human resources activities.
  • Monitor supplies, equipment, and overall unit readiness.
  • Coordinate patient care, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Address patient care concerns and escalate issues through the proper channels.
  • Engage with patients and families to enhance their experience.
  • Provide direct patient care as necessary to ensure safe staffing and quality outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and high-quality patient care.
Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:

  1. Valid and current state RN License.
  2. Current BLS certification (AHA) upon hire and maintain throughout employment.
  3. Current ACLS certification (AHA) upon hire and maintain throughout employment.
  4. At least one year of experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital or emergency department setting is required.
  5. One to two years of previous supervisory experience in an acute care hospital or ICU setting is required.
