Management Accountant

KCR Solutions are pleased to be recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant on behalf of a well-established and growing business based in Gateshead. Reporting to and working closely with the Financial Controller, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure across a broad finance function and play an important role in supporting business performance.

We are looking for a motivated finance professional with experience in a similar accounting role. Whether you're currently studying AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or have gained your knowledge through practical experience, we would love to hear from you.

This is a varied, hands-on position offering involvement in management reporting, reconciliations, forecasting, process improvements and wider finance support.

• Assist with the preparation and analysis of management accounts
\n
• Produce KPI reports and other key management information
\n
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly balance sheet and control account reconciliations
\n
• Prepare and post journals
\n
• Support accounts preparation through to trial balance
\n
• Complete quarterly reporting submissions
\n
• Assist with cash flow monitoring and forecasting
\n
• Support finance process and control improvements
\n
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
\n
• Provide support across the wider finance team as required
\n
• Work closely with and provide cover for the Financial Controller when needed
\n

• Experience within a finance or accounting role with exposure to management accounting activities
\n
• AAT qualified, part-qualified, studying towards a professional qualification, or qualified by experience
\n
• Strong Excel and systems skills
\n
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
\n
• Proactive, organised and able to work to deadlines
\n
• Positive attitude and willingness to take ownership of tasks
\n
• Team player with a continuous improvement mindset
\n
