Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Supervisor Location: ChesterfieldSalary £55,000Days Only

We are working with a well-established steel manufacturer in Chesterfield to recruit a Maintenance Supervisor . This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing engineering function, playing a key role in both hands-on maintenance and team leadership.

This is a a combination of a hands-on engineering and leadership, ideal for someone who enjoys being on the tools while also developing and leading a team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading a small team of Maintenance Engineers
\n
• Leading day-to-day maintenance activities across the site
\n
• Ordering spare parts and managing inventory
\n
• Project managing engineering improvements and maintenance initiatives
\n
• Organising statutory inspections and ensuring compliance
\n
• Managing external contractors on-site
\n
• Raising purchase orders and controlling maintenance spend
\n
• Driving and maintaining high standards of health & safety
\n
• Supporting and developing the use of the CMMS system
\n

We are open to Maintenance Engineers looking for a step up

Ideal background:

\n
• Experience within heavy engineering, steel, or precision manufacturing environments
\n
• Either electrical or mechanical bias considered
\n
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
\n
• Comfortable balancing hands-on engineering with team leadership
\n
• Experience with CMMS systems would be advantageous
\n
