The role

As an Employment Lawyer in Glasgow, you'll manage a full and varied caseload of employment law matters for employer clients, working closely with senior colleagues and other teams across the firm. Day to day, this includes:

\n
• Advising on complex contentious and non-contentious employment matters
\n
• Representing clients at the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal, including advocacy
\n
• Advising on strategy for large-scale collective redundancies, collective bargaining, TUPE transfers and related consultation processes
\n
• Supporting colleagues on corporate, property and other transactional work with an employment law dimension
\n
• Working alongside immigration, pensions, share incentives and tax colleagues to deliver joined-up client advice
\n
• Designing and delivering client training, seminars and webinars
\n
• Supporting the development of junior team members
\n

About you

This role would suit a Senior Employment Solicitor who:

\n
• Has 6+ years' relevant PQE in employment law (Scots or English law qualified)
\n
• Has experience advising a range of businesses across multiple sectors
\n
• Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external clients with ease
\n
• Communicates confidently with senior colleagues and senior client representatives
\n
• Is commercially astute with problem-solving skills
\n
• Has good spoken and written advocacy skills
\n
• Works well independently and as part of a team
\n
