Assistant Branch Manager

Reed Business Support are proud to be supporting a leading business within the building materials and construction sector in their search for an Assistant Branch Manager to join their Cardiff branch. This is a newly created position and offers the opportunity to work closely with the Branch Director, helping to drive sales performance, lead teams and support the continued growth of the branch. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused leader looking to take the next step in their management career.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting the Branch Director with the day-to-day management and performance of the branch.
\n
• Driving branch sales growth and contributing to profitability targets.
\n
• Leading, motivating and developing a team across office and operational functions.
\n
• Managing approximately five direct reports and supporting wider branch teams.
\n
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
\n
• Identifying opportunities to improve branch performance, output and efficiency.
\n
• Supporting the implementation of branch strategies and business objectives.
\n
• Undertaking occasional local travel to customer sites within the Cardiff area.
\n

What you'll need:

• Previous leadership and people management experience.
\n
• A strong sales focus and commercial mindset.
\n
• Experience driving business performance and achieving growth targets.
\n
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
\n
• The ability to motivate, coach and develop teams.
\n
• A proactive approach and the confidence to support strategic decision-making.
