Assistant Accountant, Harrogate, £30,000 - £34,000, Hybrid Working

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for your next opportunity? We're delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established business based in the heart of Harrogate, who are looking to appoint an organised and detail-focused Assistant Accountant to join their friendly finance team.

Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function while contributing to the ongoing development of financial processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily banking and cash reconciliations.
\n
• Supporting month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, journals and financial reporting.
\n
• Managing the sales and purchase ledger and allocating customer payments.
\n
• Assisting with the continuous improvement of finance processes and internal controls.
\n
• Providing general support to the wider finance team as required.
\n

What We're Looking For:

\n
• Previous experience in a finance or accounting role.
\n
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
\n
• Experience using Sage 50 would be advantageous.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
\n
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
\n

• Office-based Monday to Thursday (9:00am - 5:00pm) with working from home on Fridays.
