Job Description

Robert Half has partnered with a well-established engineering services business to recruit for a Project Accountant.

Location: Glasgow area (Hybrid working)Salary: Circa £65,000-£70,000

\n

The Role

\n

A great opportunity for an experienced Project Accountant to join a growing finance function supporting long-term, high-value projects. You'll take ownership of financial reporting for complex projects, working closely with Project Managers and wider stakeholders to drive cost improvement and financial visibility throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

    \n
  • Preparing project budgets and regular reforecasts, presenting findings to stakeholders
  • \n
  • Assessing project progress against plan and identifying/mitigating slippage
  • \n
  • Managing project revenue and profit margin reporting in line with IFRS15
  • \n
  • Performing cost variance and sensitivity analysis, flagging risks and opportunities
  • \n
  • Ensuring accurate cost allocation and coding, reconciling to the General Ledger
  • \n
  • Managing multi-currency reporting, FX exposure, and intercompany recharges
  • \n
  • Supporting lessons-learnt reviews to improve future project delivery
  • \n

What We're Looking For

    \n
  • ICAS/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • \n
  • Strong project accounting background, ideally within engineering or manufacturing
  • \n
  • Confident using ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders
  • \n
