Our client, a successful and fast-growing logistics business based in Bury, is looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their high-energy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-3 years' purchase ledger experience who is eager to develop their accounting knowledge and build a long-term career within finance.

Please note: Due to the location of the business, the site is not easily accessible via public transport, so your own transport is recommended.

The Role

Working within a busy and fast-paced finance team, you'll be responsible for managing the purchase ledger function, processing a high volume of invoices and ensuring supplier accounts are maintained accurately.

A significant proportion of transactions are processed in Euros, so experience working with foreign currency invoices would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently

• Reconciling supplier statements
\n
• Managing supplier queries and resolving discrepancies
\n
• Preparing payment runs
\n
• Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records
\n
• Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
\n
• Assisting with ad-hoc finance duties as required
\n

About You

\n
• 2-3 years' experience within a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role
\n
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
\n
• Exposure to Euro transactions would be beneficial
\n
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
\n
• Confident communicator with a proactive attitude
\n
• Keen to develop a broader understanding of accounting
\n
• Ambition to study towards or continue studying AAT qualifications
\n
