AAT Accountant

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a friendly and growing accountancy practice supporting a varied portfolio of clients.

This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and is confident managing a broad range of responsibilities within a practice environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
\n
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns, including Making Tax Digital (MTD) compliance
\n
• Preparation of personal and business tax returns
\n
• Handling client queries and providing practical accounting support
\n
• Assisting with payroll processing (desirable)
\n
• Ensuring compliance with current accounting and tax regulations
\n

Requirements:

\n
• AAT qualified (or qualified by experience)
\n
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice
\n
• Strong working knowledge of accounts preparation
\n
• Experience with VAT and MTD submissions
\n
• Familiarity with tax return preparation
\n
• Payroll experience advantageous but not essential
\n
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
\n
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
\n
