Group Financial Accountant - Hybrid role

Robert Half is really excited to recruit for a Group Financial Accountant on behalf of a very profitable and successful firm. The Industry they are in is highly attractive and sought after and a very rare opportunity locally in Northampton with hybrid working.
\nHybrid role with 2/3 days in office and 2/3 days remote
\nIt is ideally suited to a newly qualified ACA or ACCA accountant looking to make their first move from practice into industry, offering exposure to a complex group environment and the opportunity to build strong technical and commercial foundations.
\nBasic £50,000- £55,000
\n25% bonus (paid out every year)

\nRole
\nYou will take ownership of core statutory reporting tasks, key balance sheet controls and audit deliverables, whilst providing support to the wider finance team on tax compliance activities, internal audit processes and financial integration work. You will play a hands-on role in preparing financial statements, supporting the Annual Report process, and contributing to continuous improvement across systems and processes.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Prepare statutory financial statements for multiple subsidiary companies. \n
- Support the production of the Group Annual Report & Accounts and Interim Financial Statements. \n
- Assist with group consolidations and technical accounting under IFRS and UK GAAP. \n
- Prepare high-quality working papers and statutory reporting schedules. \n
- Own key balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls. \n
- Support improvements to financial reporting systems, automation and process efficiencies. \n
- Assist with strengthening internal controls and reporting processes. \n
- Act as a key contact for the external audit, preparing audit schedules and responding to queries. \n
- Support the delivery of year-end and interim audit requirements. \n
- Assist with internal audit activities and Audit Committee reporting. \n
- Provide support across Corporation Tax and VAT compliance activities where required. \n
- Support group restructures, entity changes and acquisition accounting. \n
- Assist with the financial integration of acquisitions and opening balance sheet adjustments. \n
- Work closely with the wider finance team to ensure consistent application of accounting policies. \n
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical accounting projects across the Group. \n

- ACA or ACCA qualified. \n
- Ideally looking to make your first move from practice into industry. \n
- Experience preparing statutory accounts or auditing complex group structures. \n
- Strong technical grounding in IFRS, with a desire to continue developing in this area. \n
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitm ent to producing high-quality work. \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. \n
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business. \n
- Curious, proactive and keen to continually develop your technical knowledge. \n
- Exposure to Corporation Tax or VAT would be beneficial, although this is by no means essential. \n
