Warehouse Operative Assistant

Location: BasildonContract Type: Full-time, PermanentHours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.Salary: £12.71

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative Assistant to join our busy and growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive, safety-focused workplace where quality, teamwork, and customer service are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, check, and store incoming goods in the correct locations.
\n
• Prepare customer orders accurately and load them onto vehicles for collection or delivery.
\n
• Sign for incoming deliveries and maintain delivery records.
\n
• Keep accurate stock records and monitor stock levels.
\n
• Assist with monthly stock takes and stock reporting
\n
• Build positive relationships with customers at collection and returns points.
\n
• Support the wider team with warehouse duties as required.
\n
• Be flexible in assisting with stocktaking and occasional overtime when needed.
\n

Skills and Experience

\n
• Previous warehouse, stores, or yard experience is advantageous.
\n
• A valid Forklift Licence.
\n
• Good numeracy skills and attention to detail.
\n
• Basic IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
\n
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
\n
• A proactive, flexible approach with a positive can-do attitude.
\n
• Ability to work independently and use initiative when required.
\n
• Customer-focused with a commitment to providing excellent service.
