Join our team at a dynamic accountancy firm where we are currently seeking a Practice Accountant due to the departure of a previous team member. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in accountancy practice, who is confident in managing a diverse client base and possesses excellent client-facing communication skills.

Day-to-day of the role:

\n
• Preparing accounts for a diverse range of clients including construction companies, architects, restaurants, independent businesses, and sole traders.
\n
• Handling VAT returns, bookkeeping, and journals.
\n
• Drafting first version of accounts.
\n
• Assisting with personal and corporate tax work.
\n
• Engaging with clients through telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
\n
• Supporting senior staff during client meetings.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
• Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
\n
• Strong proficiency in spoken and written English.
\n
• Confidence in direct client interactions.
\n
• Experience with personal or corporate tax is essential.
\n
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks.
\n
• Formal qualification is not mandatory but beneficial.
\n
