Accounts Senior

An established and growing accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a varied role, working with a diverse portfolio of clients and providing a high level of service.

You will take responsibility for preparing accounts, supporting clients with their accounting requirements and working closely with colleagues to deliver accurate and timely financial information.

The Role

• Manage a portfolio of clients, providing accounts preparation and compliance services.
\n
• Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
\n
• Complete year-end accounts assignments from start to finish.
\n
• Prepare corporation tax computations and support wider tax compliance work.
\n
• Complete VAT returns and other routine accounting submissions.
\n
• Communicate directly with clients, handling queries and providing practical support.
\n
• Review financial information, identify issues and ensure work is completed accurately.
\n
• Manage workloads effectively to meet client deadlines.
\n
• Support junior members of the team through guidance and knowledge sharing.
\n
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and follow current accounting standards.
\n

About You

\n
• ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
\n
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
\n
• Strong experience preparing accounts for SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
\n
• Confident managing client relationships and delivering excellent customer service.
\n
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
\n
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple assignments.
\n
• Good communication skills and a professional approach.
\n
• Comfortable using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
\n
