Role: Functional System Analyst (Oracle HCM - HR & Payroll)Location: Birmingham (Hybrid 2 Days a Week On-site)Salary: £33,000 - £35,000Contract: 12 Month Fixed-TermNetwork IT are working with a large and highly respected organisation to recruit a Functional Expert Oracle HCM to join their Core System Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity to support and enhance a complex Oracle HCM environment that underpins critical HR, Payroll, and People Services functions.Working within a specialist systems team, you will play a key role in system optimisation, release management, configuration, testing, and end-user support, ensuring business-critical services continue to operate effectively.Role OverviewAs a Functional Expert , you will combine strong business process knowledge with Oracle HCM expertise to support the ongoing development and optimisation of enterprise HR and Payroll systems.You will be responsible for investigating and resolving complex issues, supporting quarterly Oracle releases, undertaking configuration changes, coordinating testing activities, and ensuring data integrity across the platform. This role requires someone who can confidently engage with stakeholders, challenge existing processes, and identify opportunities for system and process improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and optimise Oracle HCM systems across HR, Payroll, and associated functional areasResolve Level 2 incidents, troubleshooting configuration, process, and data-related issuesUndertake configuration changes, integrations, enhancements, and system updatesSupport quarterly Oracle updates, impact assessments, and release management activitiesCoordinate and execute UAT, regression testing, and production deploymentsManage Oracle Service Requests (SRs) and liaise with vendors where requiredDevelop and maintain technical documentation, configuration workbooks, and knowledge base contentEnsure strong data quality, integrity, and master data management practicesDevelop reports and insights to support business processes and operational decision-makingSupport user training and drive adoption of improved processes and ways of workingEssential Skills & ExperienceExperience supporting and configuring Oracle HCM Cloud within a complex organisationExperience in one or more of the following Oracle HCM modules: Core HRPayrollAbsence ManagementTime & LabourRecruitingTalent ManagementPerformance ManagementLearningCompensationExperience supporting Oracle quarterly releases, impact assessments, and production deploymentsExperience investigating production issues and troubleshooting system configurationsAbility to build and maintain technical configurations and supporting documentationExperience coordinating UAT and regression testing activitiesStrong understanding of data integrity, master data management, and reporting requirementsExcellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independently within a fast-paced environmentDesirable Skills & ExperienceOracle Visual Builder Studio (VB Studio)Redwood ExtensibilityOracle AI capabilities within HCMHDL LoadsOracle certificationsPrevious Higher Education or Public Sector experienceLanguageTool updated the Learneo Terms of Service, Service Terms, and Privacy Policy.Please review our updated Learneo Terms of Service, Service Terms, and Privacy Policy, effective August 21, 2026.
