We are excited to invite a dedicated Children's Home Registered Manager to lead our brand new 4-bed home in Doncaster.
About the Role\nAs the Registered Manager, you will hold the key responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring we deliver a high-quality level of care. Your leadership will help promote the rights of young people and support their transition into adulthood.
Main Responsibilities\n- \n
- Service and Practice: Develop and deliver high-quality care in line with relevant legislation and organizational policies. \n
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of care workers to achieve positive outcomes for young people in their physical, psychological, emotional, and social development. \n
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for both young people and staff, implementing monitoring and evaluation systems. \n
- Meetings: Prepare for and chair various internal and external meetings. \n
- On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in on-call duties and cover sleep-in shifts as needed. \n
- Admissions Oversight: Manage all admissions and discharges to the home. \n

- Involve in the recruitment and induction of new employees. \n
- Ensure staff are supervised and appraised according to organizational policy. \n
- Oversee continuous professional development and mandatory training for the team. \n

- Monitor the service budget and ensure financial targets are met. \n
- Ensure the maintenance of the service premises and equipment. \n
- \n
- Promote the organization positively with external agencies and the public. \n
- Liaise with commissioners regarding admissions. \n
- \n
- Enthusiasm for providing the highest quality care and education. \n
- Experience in managing a team. \n
- Comprehensive knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures. \n
This is a full-time, permanent position requiring 39 hours per week. Some office days will be necessary for administrative duties, and sleep-in duties will be required as per the home’s rota.
Compensation and Benefits\n- \n
- Salary: Up to £64,280 (includes Ofsted and occupancy bonuses). \n
- 25 days of annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays. \n
- £3,000 Bonus for an Outstanding Ofsted Report. \n
- Full Occupancy Bonus: £600 a month. \n
- On-call payments: £25 on weekdays, £35 on weekends. \n
- Pension scheme in line with government guidance. \n
- Petrol allowance for using your own car (proof of business insurance required). \n
