Mechanical Fitter

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for your next step role?

SourceCo Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced fitters for a globally known client based in Bromsgrove.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, a proactive approach, and the flexibility to support both workshop and occasional on-site work.

Salary:

\n
• £31k-£35k Per Annum + Bonus
\n

Working hours:

\n
• Monday - Friday 08:00 to 17:00
\n

What you'll be doing:

\n
• Strip down and assess industrial gearboxes and motors
\n
• Carry out fault finding and complete service/job reports
\n
• Clean and degrease mechanical components
\n
• Replace faulty gears, shafts, bearings, and seals to manufacturer specifications
\n
• Assemble and test gearboxes and motors
\n
• Prepare equipment for dispatch, including painting and finishing
\n
• Maintain high standards of health & safety within the workshop
\n

What we are looking for:

\n
• Strong mechanical fitting experience (essential)
\n
• Basic electrical knowledge (ideally)
\n
• Experience using machining equipment (e.g. lathes, presses, milling machines)
\n
• Good level of computer literacy
\n
• Flexible attitude and willingness to work on customer sites when required
\n
• Full UK driving licence (ideally)
\n
• Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
\n
