Legal Secretary - Family/Litigation
Job Description
My client is recruiting for a Legal Secretary with at least 6 months' experience within a legal environment to join their well-established Litigation and Family Law department in Woodford, London.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career within a busy and supportive team, providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support to fee earners across both Litigation and Family matters.
\nThe ideal candidate will have the following:
\n• At least 6 months' experience working within a legal secretary or legal administration role
\n• Previous experience within Litigation and/or Family Law is desirable
\n• Excellent typing and audio dictation skills
\n• Strong organisational and diary management abilities
\n• Excellent communication and client care skills
\n• High attention to detail
\n• IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office
\n• A proactive, enthusiastic and professional approach
\n• Excellent timekeeping and attendance
\nThe successful Legal Secretary will undertake duties including, but not limited to:
\n• Providing secretarial support to Litigation and Family solicitors
\n• Audio typing and word processing using digital dictation
\n• Preparing legal correspondence, court documents and bundles
\n• Managing diaries, appointments and meetings
\n• Liaising with clients, barristers, courts and third parties
\n• Opening new files and maintaining accurate case records
\n• Filing, scanning, photocopying and general administrative duties
\n• Handling incoming and outgoing post
\n• Assisting with document production and file management
\n• Providing additional administrative support across the department as required
