Conveyancing Solicitor
Job Description
Due to the planned retirement of a long-standing Conveyancing Solicitor, we are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join our well-established and supportive team in Cheltenham.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor with approximately 5–10 years’ post-qualification experience who is looking to take the next step in their career by combining fee earning with team leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
\nYou’ll manage your own busy residential conveyancing caseload while providing day-to-day supervision, guidance and support to two members of the conveyancing team, helping to ensure matters progress efficiently while maintaining exceptional client service.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, including: \n
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases \n
- Remortgages \n
- Transfers of equity \n
- New build transactions \n
- Shared ownership matters where applicable \n
- Deliver an excellent level of client care throughout every transaction. \n
- Meet fee earning and billing targets. \n
- Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance and technical support to junior members of the conveyancing team. \n
- Review workflows and ensure files are progressing appropriately. \n
- Act as a point of contact for technical queries and problem-solving within the team. \n
- Help develop the knowledge and confidence of colleagues through coaching and mentoring. \n
- Build strong relationships with clients, estate agents, brokers and other professional contacts. \n
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and firm policies. \n
- Contribute to maintaining a collaborative, supportive and high-performing team culture. \n
About You
\nWe’re looking for someone who can bring both technical expertise and leadership to the team.

- Qualified Solicitor with approximately 5–10 years’ PQE. \n
- Significant experience managing a full residential conveyancing caseload independently. \n
- Strong technical knowledge across all aspects of residential property transactions. \n
- Previous experience supervising, mentoring or supporting junior colleagues would be highly advantageous. \n
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. \n
- Outstanding communication and client relationship skills. \n
- A proactive, approachable and collaborative working style. \n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional client service. \n
