Electrical Machinery Fitter

\n£18 - £19 per hour
\nTemporary Assignment – 6 Weeks, possibility of extension
\nMonday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, 40 hours per week
\nService Service is recruiting for an experienced Electrical Machinery Fitter to join a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Fakenham on a temporary six-week assignment.
\nThis is a hands-on role involving the assembly, testing, and fault-finding of specialist machinery. The successful candidate will work across electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, supporting machine builds and maintenance activities during a busy production period.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Build and assemble machinery from electrical schematics and engineering drawings \n
- Carry out wiring, soldering, crimping, loom assembly, and panel building \n
- Test, inspect, and service machinery to ensure operational performance \n
- Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults \n
- Support machine installation and maintenance activities as required \n
- Work with PLC-controlled equipment and assist with fault finding \n
- Complete relevant documentation and reports accurately \n
About You
\n- \n
- Time-served apprentice or equivalent industry experience \n
- Proven experience in machine wiring, panel building, and electrical assembly \n
- Strong fault-finding skills to component level \n
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems \n
- Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery \n
- Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical drawings \n
- Competent using Microsoft Office applications \n
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision \n
