CNC Machinist - Semi-Skilled / Skilled
\nLocation: Corby
\nHours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
\nHours 8 am – 5 pm (Monday – Thursday), 8 am – 1 pm (Friday)
\nSalary: £30,000, + attendance bonus
\n\nOur client is looking for a reliable and motivated Skilled CNC Machinist to join their growing production team.
\nThe Role
\nWorking within our machine shop, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision components. The successful candidate will have experience working with HAAS CNC mills and lathes and a good understanding of machining practices within a manufacturing environment.
\nCandidates who can independently set up and prove out jobs will be at a distinct advantage.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Operate HAAS CNC milling and turning machines safely and efficiently. \n
- Manufacture components to engineering drawings and specifications. \n
- Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance. \n
- Inspect components to ensure quality standards are maintained. \n
- Monitor production output and identify any quality or process issues. \n
- Maintain a clean and organised working area. \n
- Work closely with colleagues and the team leader to meet production targets. \n
- Follow company health and safety procedures at all times. \n
- Assist with machine set-ups and tooling changes where required. \n
The ideal candidate will have:
\n- \n
- 3 years' experience within a machine shop or CNC manufacturing environment. \n
- Experience operating HAAS CNC mills and/or lathes. \n
- Good understanding of machining tolerances and quality requirements. \n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. \n
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn. \n
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. \n
- Strong time management and organisational skills. \n
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team. \n
Desirable Skills
\n- \n
- Ability to set up and prove out jobs independently. \n
- Experience selecting tooling and adjusting offsets. \n
- Knowledge of editing CNC programs. \n
- Experience working in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment. \n
