\nAre you analytical, highly organised and confident working with numbers and Excel?
\nWe are recruiting for an established international healthcare products business in Crawley that is looking to appoint a Graduate / Trainee Inventory Planner.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a bright and motivated graduate, university leaver or junior administrator who wants to build a long-term career within inventory planning and supply chain.
\nPrevious inventory-planning experience is not essential. However, this is not a general graduate scheme. The role is detailed, numerical and commercially focused, so you will need to demonstrate strong analytical ability, accuracy and a genuine interest in developing within supply chain.
\nTHE ROLE
\nReporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will help ensure that sufficient products and component parts are available to meet customer demand, while avoiding unnecessary stockholding.
\nYou will receive training and support as you learn to:
\n- \n
- Monitor stock levels against sales forecasts. \n
- Help maintain agreed minimum stock levels. \n
- Track components held by manufacturers and external production partners. \n
- Assist with purchase orders and works orders. \n
- Reconcile stock held at external sites and investigate discrepancies or wastage. \n
- Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers and co-packers. \n
- Work with the sales and marketing teams to account for promotions and changing demand. \n
- Maintain accurate product, packaging and inventory data. \n
- Check stock receipts, product costs and other information held within the company’s systems. \n
- Help ensure that orders, artwork and supporting information are accurate before being sent to suppliers. \n
- Develop an understanding of forecasting, bills of materials and supply-chain planning. \n
ABOUT YOU
\nYou may be a recent graduate or already working in a junior analytical, administrative, purchasing, logistics or operations role.
\nWe are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
\n- \n
- Strong numerical and analytical ability. \n
- Confidence using Excel and working with spreadsheets. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and a consistently accurate approach. \n
- The ability to organise and prioritise several tasks and deadlines. \n
- Clear communication skills and confidence dealing with different teams and external partners. \n
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take responsibility. \n
- The ability to learn new systems and processes quickly. \n
- A genuine interest in inventory planning, supply chain or commercial operations. \n
A degree involving data, research, statistics or numerical analysis could be helpful, but we are open to different academic backgrounds. Practical experience gained through employment, an internship, placement year or university project will also be considered.
\nThis is a genuine career-development opportunity within an established international business. You will gain practical exposure to inventory management, forecasting, purchasing, manufacturing and commercial supply-chain operations while working closely with an experienced Supply Chain Manager.
\nThe role would suit someone who enjoys solving problems, working with detailed information and understanding how different parts of a business fit together.
