Fabricator / Welder - Various Shifts

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join a growing manufacturing business based in South Kirkby.

As a fabricator / Welder , you will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering 2D & 3D drawings, fabricating & welding metal components or structures, and perform quality checks on finished products. You will have advanced knowledge of industrial metalwork, a good eye for detail, and excellent mathematical skills to construct high-quality products to exact specifications.

Working Hours

Choose from: Days - Monday-Friday – 06.00am - 2:30pm / Afters - Monday-Thursday 2:00pm - 12:30am (20% Shift Allowance)Salary: £31,366.40 - £43,380 (Depending on Skills & Experience / Shift)

Fabricator / Welder Responsibilities:

\n
• Reading and interpreting engineering 2D & 3D Drawings
\n
• Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines
\n
• Ensuring that all required parts for assembly are present
\n
• Double-checking design specifications before commencing with work
\n
• Fabricating and constructing metal components
\n
• Grinding and finishing completed products
\n

To be successful in this Fabricator / Welder position, you'll ideally have:

\n
• Previous work experience as a metal fabricator welder.
\n
• Previously experience working with mild steel, Zintec & galvanised sheet. Ranging from 0.9mm to 30mm.
\n
• Previous experience working with mild steel 2mm to 10mm
\n
• Proficiency in operating an overhead crane is an advantage.
\n
• Welding experience/certification is an advantage.
\n
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.
\n
• Ability to read and interpret engineering 2D & 3D Drawings.
\n
• Proficiency with metal fabrication tools.
\n
• Advanced mathematical and engineering skills.
\n
• Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
\n
• Ability to stand for long periods.
\n
