Role: Production Coordinator

Hours: Full Time (Monday to Friday)

Duration: Permanent

Location: Southampton - Office Based

Salary: Up to £50k per annum

\n

Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure clear communication of priorities, deadlines, and project milestones.
  • \n
  • Monitor progress across multiple concurrent projects and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Maintain production trackers, planning documents, and build progress reports to support operational visibility.
  • \n
  • Coordinate workshop resources and labour allocation in line with business priorities.
  • \n
  • Assist in the development and implementation of digital planning and production tracking systems.
  • \n
  • Support production planning activities to optimise workflow, scheduling, and operational efficiency.
  • \n
  • Ensure materials, components, and parts are available and ready prior to production commencing.
  • \n
  • Produce and maintain project schedules, timelines, and planning documentation, including Gantt charts.
  • \n
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing workshop organisation and productivity.
  • \n

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, composites, or similar production environment.
  • \n
  • Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities across multiple teams.
  • \n
  • Confident working in both hands-on production environments and office-based settings.
  • \n
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and production planning or project tracking software.
  • \n
  • Detail-oriented with a practical, problem-solving approach.
  • \n
  • Capable of managing changing priorities and balancing multiple ongoing projects.
  • \n

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience within bespoke, low-volume manufacturing environments.
  • \n
  • Previous involvement in production planning, scheduling, or project coordination roles.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools and Gantt chart management.
  • \n
  • Exposure to specialist manufacturing or complex build projects.
  • \n
