About the Opportunity\nA growing international SME is looking to appoint a hands-on Finance Manager to support its Finance Director and play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys operating in a broad role, taking ownership of financial operations while also driving systems and process improvements within a growing business.
\nWorking as part of a small, collaborative finance team, you'll gain exposure to a wide variety of responsibilities and play an important part in supporting the business through its next phase of growth.
The Role\nReporting into the Finance Director, responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the month-end close process and production of management accounts. \n
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls. \n
- VAT, tax and general statutory finance responsibilities. \n
- Supporting inventory accounting and standard costing activities. \n
- Sales order accounting and day-to-day financial management. \n
- Assisting with the continued development and optimisation of the company's ERP system. \n
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reporting. \n
- Supporting wider finance projects as the business continues to grow. \n
- Working closely with the Finance Director to ensure accurate and timely financial information. \n
The successful candidate will ideally have:
\n- \n
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Senior Accountant position. \n
- Part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by Experience (QBE). \n
- Strong month-end accounting experience. \n
- Balance sheet reconciliation experience. \n
- Experience in stock-based environment, exposure to inventory accounting and standard costing is a plus. \n
- Strong systems skills with experience using ERP systems. \n
- An interest in improving processes and driving efficiencies. \n
- Excellent Excel skills. \n
- A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work within a growing SME environment. \n
